PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bio-related material separating gel membrane for efficiently separating a bio-related material without adsorption and/or deterioration of the bio-related material, and a bio-related material separating method using the bio-related material separating gel membrane, a convenient apparatus and convenient operation. SOLUTION: The bio-related material separating gel membrane contains a polymer with a constituent unit derived from 2-methacryloyloxyethylphosphorylcholine, and is used for separating the bio-related material. The bio-related material separating method in the invention introduces a sample containing the bio-related material into a vessel provided with the separating gel membrane, and separates the bio-related material by pressure.
