<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a driving waveform is deteriorated when directly controlling output amplitude variation of a modulator driver caused by surrounding environmental variation and variation per hour because a driving signal outputted from the modulator driver of an MZ modulator is a high frequency signal. <P>SOLUTION: A low frequency signal is superimposed on two envelopes corresponding to H/L outputs of the driving signal so as to be in phase with each other and a low frequency component included in a modulator output is monitored. An amplitude of the driving signal outputted from the modulator driver is adjusted without degrading the driving waveform. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
