PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission terminal, a communication terminal, a wireless communication system, and a wireless communication method for avoiding wrong reception and non-detection of packet missing error so as to ensure the continuity of packet transmission / reception thereby enhancing the throughput and the communication quality. SOLUTION: A wireless terminal 1 comprises: an interface section 27 for interfacing a host device 40; a transmission section 23 for wirelessly transmitting data in units of packet; a transmission / reception setting section 22 for providing a serial number SN to the transmitted packet; and a control section 21 for controlling operations of the transmission section 23 and the transmission / reception setting section 22.
