PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for driving an optoelectronic device that can suppress vertical luminance unevenness, the optoelectronic device, and electronic equipment. SOLUTION: When a screen is vertically scanned from its top side under a condition where display is made lighter and lighter as display data are larger and larger and as a voltage applied to liquid crystal is smaller and smaller, pixels connected to scanning lines selected later among scanning lines Y1 to Ym have larger decreasing voltage values at respective pixel electrodes, so light display is obtained. In this case, the original display data are corrected according to a Y coordinate representing the position of a scanning line counted from the start side of the vertical scan so that a correction quantity of display data to be subtracted from the original display data is made larger for a pixel at a lower position, and then pixels at lower positions become darker than luminance corresponding to the display data, thereby suppressing vertical luminance unevenness on a liquid crystal display panel 21.
