<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writable projector and a light pointer that can efficiently and specifically point out an emphasized part of a projected image without placing a load on an explainer. <P>SOLUTION: Red image light 6r, green image light 6g, and blue image light 6b projected by liquid crystal spatial optical modulators 6R, 6G, and 6B based upon an image signal are put together into color image light 8a, which is projected on a screen 10, and a two-stage push switch 21 of the light pointer 20A is pushed to a 1st-stage position P1 to turn ON the pointer and irradiate the screen 10 with low-output pointing light 30; and the two-stage push switch 21 is pressed to a 2nd-stage position P2 when the light spot 31 reaches an explanation part to increase the light intensity of the pointing light 30. Then the position of the light spot 31 is computed from a picked-up image obtained by imaging the screen 10 by a two-dimensional CCD 14, and image signals to the liquid crystal spatial optical modulators 6R, 6G, and 6B are processed to specifically point out the explanation position on the screen 10 with a bright line, which is erased a certain time later. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
