PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image file input program and an image file input apparatus which are capable of automatically reading an image file with RAW data recorded in a medium and developing the data. SOLUTION: The image file input apparatus is provided with the image file input program for allowing a computer to execute a determining step for determining the type or manufacturer of a digital still camera on the basis of any of the presence or absence of identification information consisting of a file size, an extension, a unique address and unique information correlated to the unique address, or the presence or absence of identification information consisting of a unique address and unique information to be addressed by offset information correlated to the unique address; and a conversion input step for converting and inputting the image file on the basis of conversion procedures corresponding to the type or manufacturer identified by the determining step.
