PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an imaging apparatus where the perpendicularity of an optical system supporting body guiding member for supporting an imaging optical system so that the imaging optical system can freely slide to an imaging surface is secured by bringing an outer frame member in tight contact with an imaging element. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is provided with the imaging optical system for guiding object light, the optical system supporting body for supporting the imaging optical system, an imaging element for performing the photoelectric conversion of the object light guided by the imaging optical system, the outer frame member for packing the optical system supporting body, and the optical system supporting body guiding member which is fixed in the outer frame member, for supporting the optical system supporting body so that it can slide in the optical axis direction, and the outer frame member is assembled in contact with the imaging element.
