PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch unit of which switch operating position is illuminated, wherein the switch operating position is directly illuminated, and its thinning and low rigidity is attained. SOLUTION: The switch unit 1A is formed of a first sheet-shape member 2 in which a dome-shape movable contact 5 movable at operating is installed, and a second sheet-shape member 3 in which a light emitting part 12 and a pair of electrodes 13, 14 supplying electric power to this light emitting part 12 are installed and which is laminated on the first sheet-shape member 2. One of the electrodes 14 supplying electric power is formed of a transparent conductive polymer, and the base electrode 13, the conductive polymer electrode 14, and the light emitting part 12 are arranged at a position facing the dome-shape movable contact 5.
