PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the thermal efficiency of a fluid heater by a construction wherein the outer circumference of a heating tube through which a fluid is made to flow is surrounded by a film-shaped heating body formed by covering both surfaces of an electric resistor with inner and outer insulating sheets and the outer circumference of the film-shaped heating body is covered with a molding made of synthetic resin. SOLUTION: A fluid heater H is constructed of a film-shaped body 1 wound on the outer circumference of a heating tube T and of a molding 2 surrounding the outer circumference of the film-shaped heating body 1. The film-shaped heating body 1 is constructed flexibly out of an electric resistor 4 and inner and outer insulating sheets 5 and 6 covering both surfaces of the electric resistor 4, in the main. The film-shaped heating body 1 is so wound as to surround the outer circumference of the heating tube T, while internal projecting parts 14 of the film-shaped heating body 1 are made to fit in recessed parts 3 in the outer circumference of the heating body T. The material of the molding 2 is synthetic resin and it is made to cover the outer circumference of the film-shaped heating body 1 wound on the heating tube T, by casting by high- pressure injection molding. |
