<p>A method of recording an image in a camera, preferably a digital camera within a mobile phone, involves embedding in the image digital data representative of the location at which the image is recorded. The embedding may be achieved by varying the shading of pixels or by watermarking the image with the data. The data may be encrypted and may further include date, time and/or a unique identifier for the phone. The mobile phone may include a GPS, triangulation of mobile phone service provider or cell identification for location determination.</p> |
