The respiration hose (2) is provided with a sensor device (16) at the opposite end to the respiration apparatus, a signal line (18) extending along the length of the respiration hose for transmission of signals between the sensor device and the respiration apparatus, with a contactless interface between the sensor device and the signal line. The signal line can be provided by a 2-wire line also acting as a heating conductor for the respiration hose, or by an optical conductor with an IR interface (17) for connecting it with the sensor device.
