The covering (5) comprises bent plates (6) made from a flexible material which are held in place by anchors extending through the thatch (3) and secured inside the roof truss underneath. Each plate has one or more brackets extending in the cross-direction and at least one end of the bracket is bent back to form a hook or ring for a rod to be passed through. The anchors are formed by screws extending through holes in the side edges of the plate. - The plates are overlapping and preferably made from copper.
