An evacuation unit (6) lowers pressure inside cavities (3,5) of an object (2) placed in chamber (4). A supply unit (7) supplies high-pressure tracer gas (8) e.g. hydrogen gas, helium, refrigerant, sulfur hexafluoride, carbon dioxide to the cavities, and an introduction unit (10) introduces low-pressure transport gas into the cavities. The evacuation unit compresses the arriving gas to ambient pressure of the chamber. - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for method of determining leakproofness of object. |
