PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new reproducing method and a reproducing head by which high density recorded information on an information recording medium is more stably reproduced. SOLUTION: The method for reproducing a non-magnetic field MAMMOS information recording medium includes a process in which the information recording medium is heated by a first heating means, and the region that is located in front of the first heating means along the advancing direction of the information recording medium, is heated by a second heating means, so that the region being heated by the first and the second heating means is heated to the temperature higher than the temperature that shuts off exchange coupling force between a recording layer and a reproducing layer and the magnetic domain of the reproducing layer is expanded over the regions being heated by the fist and the second heating means, a process in which leaked magnetic field being generated from the magnetic domain of the expanded reproducing layer is detected by a leaked magnetic field detection means and a process in which information reproducing is conducted based on the leaked magnetic field detected by the leaked magnetic field detecting means.
