<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid emphasizing noise in areas important to photographs, such as the sky and human skin, during the process of sharpening images. <P>SOLUTION: This image processor implements a sharpening process using a sharpening filter which can adjust the strength of sharpening for image data obtained through digitization. The image processor includes a parameter determining part 90A that extracts a specific-color pixel showing a preset specific color from the image data and allocates a sharpening strength adjusting parameter to the specific-color pixel; and a sharpening process part 90B that sharpens the image data in pixel units while adjusting the sharpening strength of the sharpening filter according to the sharpening strength adjusting parameter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
