PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize costs of service provision while accommodating a situation involving the temporary storage of data. SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus comprises a storage case search part 11 for accepting a data storage request from an input interface, and, according to a storage data size included in the data storage request and a data center table, searching for cases in which data-storage-requested data are stored in a data center having a space not smaller than the storage data size, a storage cost calculation part 13 for calculating a storage cost necessary for each case according to the data center table and the storage data size, a default cost calculation part 15 for calculating a default cost necessary for each case according to a data storage table, and a case selection part 16 for calculating the total cost of each case, and storing the data in the data center that corresponds to the case of the lowest total cost or requesting the storage in the data center.
