<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor provided with a plurality of cylinder bores, a piston reciprocating and moving in the cylinder bores, a valve plate forming a discharge hole for leading compressed fluid in the cylinder bore to the outside, a discharge valve like a belt plate whose one end part in the longitudinal direction forms a free end and opposes to the discharge hole to open and close the discharge hole, and a retainer having an opening regulation face extending in the same direction as the discharge valve and opposing to the valve plate across the discharge valve to regulate opening of the discharge valve to prevent vibration of specific frequency caused by vibration of the discharge valve and gas pulsation from becoming conspicuous. <P>SOLUTION: This compressor is provided with the plurality of cylinder bores, the piston reciprocating and moving in the cylinder bores, the valve plate forming the discharge hole for leading compressed fluid in the cylinder bore to the outside, the discharge valve like the belt plate whose one end part in the longitudinal direction forms the free end and opposes to the discharge hole to open and close the discharge hole, and the retainer having the opening regulation face extending in the same direction as the discharge valve and opposing to the discharge plate across the discharge valve to regulate opening of the discharge valve.
