PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device in which a cord to connect respective constituents with one another is not exposed to the outside, in which exchange of a backlight is carried out extremely easily and within a short period of time, and which is also easily maintained. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is constituted of a flange part 2 inserted into a panel cut arranged on a panel from the front face side and fixed to the panel and a main unit part 11 equipped with a touch panel, an LCD, a backlight etc. on the front face side of a main unit case 12 and equipped with a control part 20, a drive part 21 etc. of the LCD etc. on the rear face side thereof wherein the LCD etc. and the control part 20 are electrically connected to one another directly or via an opening part arranged on the main unit case 12, and is constructed so as to make the main unit part 11 attachably and detachably be mounted on the flange part 2 on the rear face side of the panel in a state in which the flange part 2 is left fixed to the panel.
