PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device generating sterilized hot air by heating a lithium chloride aqueous solution by warm heat from a low temperature exhaust heat source and bringing low temperature air into contact with the aqueous solution. SOLUTION: This hot air generator generating hot air by bringing the low temperature air from the outside into contact with the lithium chloride aqueous solution inside a countercurrent gas-liquid contact device equips at least a circulation device for the lithium chloride aqueous solution, a low temperature air supply device, and a water injection device into the lithium chloride aqueous solution. The countercurrent gas-liquid contact device equips a heating device using the heat source of low temperature exhaust heat inside it, can heat the lithium chloride aqueous solution, can supply the low temperature air from a direction different from the lithium chloride aqueous solution by the low temperature air supply device, and can heat/humidify and take out the low temperature air.
