MELTING TREATMENT EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide melting treatment equipment for preventing and suppressing molten fly ash from attaching and depositing on an inner wall surface of an exhaust gas duct to prevent blockage of the exhaust gas duct by a simple method which does not increase equipment cost excessively. SOLUTION: The melt treatment equipment is provided with a melting furnace 2 for melting incinerated residue, the exhaust gas duct 7 for discharging exhaust gas generated in the melting furnace 2 to an outside of the furnace, and an exhaust gas temperature reducing tower 8 connected on a downstream side of the exhaust gas duct 7 for reducing a temperature of the exhaust gas. The exhaust gas duct 7 includes a declining part formed at least on a downstream side at an angleθ=10-60°, and an exhaust gas flow rate in the exhaust gas duct 7 is set to be faster than 1.5m/s.
