PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent coin jamming in a coin storing part. SOLUTION: The coin receiving/dispensing apparatus carries out a raising process for selecting coins charged from a coin charging in each coin kind by a coin selection part 9, dropping the coins into the coin storing parts 12, conveying coins stored in the coin storing part 12 in each coin kind by a coin pay-out belt 13 obliquely arranged so that the downstream side of a coin conveying direction is raised on the basis of a pay-out instruction, separating the coins one by one by a separation mechanism 17 (e.g. a reverse roller 16) and paying out the coins to the coin pay-out port, and conveying a coin jamming preventing member 51 upward in accordance with the rotational operation of the coin pay-out belt 13, and a drop process for making the coin jamming prevention member 51 arriving at the separation mechanism 17 to roll down to a lower position, and when coin jamming is caused in the coin storing part 12, breaks jammed coins by repeating the rising process and the dropping process of the coin jamming prevention member 51 to release the coin jamming.
