PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embossed sheet manufacturing method suitable for manufacturing an embossed sheet having a regular fine embossed pattern formed on its surface, free from a flaw and having high quality, and an embossed sheet manufacturing apparatus. SOLUTION: In this embossed sheet manufacturing method, the surface unevenness of an embossing mold 26 is transferred and formed to the surface of a sheetlike material W and an uncured ultraviolet curable resin is degassed by a degassing means. Then, the ultraviolet curable resin is applied to the surface of the sheetlike material W by a coating means 14 while allowing the strip like flexible sheetlike material W to continuously travel. This sheetlike material W is brought into close contact with the surface of the embossing mold 26 to transfer the surface unevenness of the embossing mold 26 to the layer of the ultraviolet curable resin, and the ultraviolet curable resin is cured in a state that the sheetlike material W is in close contact with the embossing mold 26.
