PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic atomizer capable of atomizing a solution containing a substance having sedative action as nano-size particles, capable of extending the stagnation of atomized ions in air and enabling a user to easily and effectively suck the solution to relax in a space filled with the substance having sedative action. SOLUTION: This electrostatic atomizer 6 has a feed part 2 for feeding the solution 7 from a liquid storage part 1, the counter electrode 3 arranged in opposed relation to the feed direction of the solution 7 by the feed part 2, a liquid applying electrode 4 for applying voltage to the solution 7 in the route reaching the leading end on the side of the counter electrode 3 of the feed part 2 from the liquid storage part 1 and a voltage applying part 5 for applying high voltage across the liquid applying electrode 4 and the counter electrode 3.
