PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable unit eliminating erroneous wiring even if different kinds of game machines are installed on both sides of a support frame of a game machine island or only game machines installed on one side of the support frame are replaced and further allowing easy and certain replacement of the game machines, and an efficient method for construcing a game machine island. SOLUTION: The cable unit supplies power to a plurality of game machines and the peripheral devices. The cable unit 1 is composed of a receiving material 10 installed immediately above the plurality of game machines P continuously provided in the width direction and the peripheral devices C, a plurality of outlets 20 attached inside the receiving material 10, and a power cable 30 laid inside the receiving material 10 and connected to the outlets 20, and slots of the outlets 20 are exposed on the external surface of the receiving material 10.
