PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maximize relay transmission efficiency and to keep a throughput that is observed in an end node constant regardless of the number of relay stages. SOLUTION: In the packet transmission method in the wireless multi-hop network, a relay path is composed of an end node N_E, a start node N_S which performs packet transmission toward the end node N_E and relay nodes N_i (relay node number i=1, 2, ..., n). A plurality of transmission packets that the start node N_S has are repeated and transmitted through the relay nodes N_i to the end node N_E by multi-stage relay. The start node N_S intermittently transmits packets in a transmission period P_S corresponding to a frequency reuse interval. Each of the relay nodes N_i receives the packets, relays and transmits the packets to a next relay node N_i+1 or to the end node N_E after the lapse of a transmission waiting time P_i corresponding to the frequency reuse interval.
