Method for producing a print machine cylinder (01) that has a body (02) and at least channel (06) that runs axially along the body. The body surface (07) and the internal surface of the channel are coated with an anti-corrosive and or wear-resistant layer. The thickness, and or coating material and or coating process can be different for the two processes. An independent claim is made for a print machine roller.
