PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power circuit breaking device, having a power switch and a fitting detection switch which can be made compact. SOLUTION: In the lever fitting type power circuit breaking device 1A, power terminals 9, 35 forming a power switch are arranged on both connector housings 1, 3 respectively, and a fitting detection terminal constituting the fitting detection switch is formed on a lever 2 mounted on the connector housing 1 on one side and on the connector housing 3, on the other side. When the lever 2 is operated from an operation starting position to an operation finish position, the power terminal 9 is made to contact the power terminal 35, and the power switch is switched on, then the both fitting detection terminals are contacted and the fitting detection switch is switched on; and the power circuit is brought into conductive state by switching on of the detection switch. The fitting detection terminal, arranged on the other connector housing 3, is formed by a pair of male terminals 38, 38 utilizing a bus bar 37, and the fitting detection terminal arranged on the lever 2 is formed by an almost U-shaped short pin 26.
