PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent laminate having high gas/steam barrier properties, low in the coefficient of linear expansion, excellent in heat resistance and transparency and suitably used as a transparent sheet, an optical lens, a plastic substrate for a liquid crystal display element, a substrate for a color filter, a plastic substrate for an organic EL display element, a substrate of a solar cell, a touch panel, a light guide plate, an optical element, a light waveguide, an LED sealing material and the like. SOLUTION: This transparent laminate is constituted by laminating a resin composition 2 at least on one side of a transparent composite composition 1 composed of a transparent resin (a) and a glass filler (b) and depositing an inorganic substance layer 3 comprising transparent inorganic matter on the outside layer of the resin composition 2. The steam permeability prescribed in JIS K7129B of the laminate is 0.1[g/m<SP>2</SP>/day/40°C, 90%RH] or below and the average coefficient of linear expansion thereof at 30-150°C is 40 ppm or below.
