The lamp (9) for a ventilation hood or other kitchen furniture has two positions. Firstly an operating position and secondly a replacing position, in which the replacing of a defective lamp (9) is easier. The lamp (9) facility employs a cover plate (8), which covers an opening when the lamp (9) is in the operating position. When the cover plate (8) is removed a spring (32) system shifts the lamp fitting (10) into the lamp replacement position.
