TESTING METHOD FOR CHLORIDE ION DIFFUSION OF CONCRETE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diffusion testing method of chloride ions in concrete which substantially uses the same mechanism as the natural state and obtains result, in a short time. SOLUTION: A concrete specimen 50 is installed at a first installation location P1 of a rotating member 3. A first vessel 51 is attached to a first concrete surface S1 near a rotational center location P3 and accommodates a first liquid 61 containing the chloride ion. A second vessel 52 is attached to a second concrete surface S2 opposite to the first concrete surface S1 and accommodates a second liquid 62 such as distilled water. A balance weight 301 is installed at a second installation location P2 on the rotating member 3 opposite to the concrete specimen 50. A rotating shaft 2 is attached to the rotating center location P3 of the rotating member 3 and is rotated by an electric motor 1. The chloride ions of the first liquid 51 are made to infiltrate and diffuse into the interior of the concrete specimen 50 by the action of the centrifugal force. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
