PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bracket mounting structure for a hydraulic shock absorber for easily mounting a bracket to the outer periphery of a cylinder at a low cost. SOLUTION: In this bracket mounting structure for mounting the bracket 3 for mounting related parts such as a sensor and a brake hose to the hydraulic shock absorber 1, to the outer periphery of the cylinder 2, the bracket 3 is provided with a base part 4 having a through hole 6 passing through toward the surface from the back face, and a mounting part 5 rising from the base part 4. The base part 4 is mounted to the outer periphery of the cylinder 2 by interposing an adhesive layer 11 between the back face and the outer periphery of the cylinder 2, and a part of the adhesive layer 11 comes around to the surface side through the through hole 6.
