PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle for setting a suitable atmosphere temperature around a driver by correcting a detected temperature value of an inner-air sensor with a factor related to variation of a atmosphere temperature in the cabin in controlling while a blow-out port other than a blow-out port for a driver's seat is closed. SOLUTION: A conditioning control means 2 controls air conditioning temperature based on a detected temperature of the inner-air sensor 3, and, when an occupant detecting means 8 detects that only the driver occupies the vehicle, stops blast from other conditioned-air blow-out ports disposed for a seat other than the driver's seat. The air conditioner has an inner-air sensor correcting means 31 for correcting the detected value of the inner-air sensor 3 based on the temperature value detected by a surface temperature detecting means 30 for detecting the surface temperature in the periphery including the driver when it is determined that only the driver occupies the vehicle and the blast from other conditioned-air blow-out ports is stopped.
