<p>The invention relates to an installation for driving the dimmers of electrical engines. According to the invention, the installation uses as actuator a D. C. brushless motor (2) driven via a three-phase bridge (6) by a digital processor (7) on the basis of the information received from the position transducer (3) included in the motor, from two contactless sensors (4 and 5) placed on the dimmer (1) for sensing the first step and the stopping zone on each step and from the control switch group (8) located in the active control station. The installation carries-out the speed adjustment, both in operation (digital algorithm PI), in reverse current braking (digital algorithm P), and stationary condition (maintaining the braking condition ). The installation is provided with a serial channel (RS-485, by means of which the information relative to the step of dimmer (1) may be transmitted to the displays located in the control stations or to other installations in the railway engine (10).</p> |
