The sliding unit ensures locking of a swinging panel in closed position by cooperation with a part for transformation of movement of a rod whose movement is horizontal and parallel to the door. The rod has an end terminated in bolt that is inserted into a strike plate. A stopper prevents untimely projection of the bolt during opening/closing of a door.
