PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colored building panel having highly natural stone-like appearance. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method of the colored building panel 10 comprises a process 1 for applying a mold release agent R to the surface of a template 1 having a negative uneven pattern, which corresponds to the uneven pattern NE on the surface of a building panel 10, formed to its mold surface 2, a process 2 for scattering a coloring powder P1 over the whole surface of the coated template from above, a process 3 for scattering water or an aqueous liquid from above to form water droplets D on the scattered surface of the coloring powder P1 and bonding the coloring powder P1 scattered on the mold surface 2 to the surfaces of the water droplets D by the tumbling of the water droplets D, a process 4 for scattering a raw material mixture based on a woody reinforcing material and a cementitious material over the mold surface and a process 5 for compacting, ageing and curing the mat M. In the building panel 10 manufactured by this method, places D' where water droplets D are present on the mold surface of the template 1 become a dark color while the other part becomes a light color and coloration is changed finely corresponding to the uneven pattern PE on the surface of the building panel to form highly natural stone-like appearance.
