PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the arrangement of a fuel injection valve closely to an air inlet port, to enable the reduction of the spray space in volume so as to reduce the inflow resistance of an air inlet into a branch passage. SOLUTION: In an air inlet port structure of a cylinder head, an air intake introducing port of a common passage opened to the external surface of the cylinder head is formed in an elliptical shape which is greater in the width direction compared with the vertical direction, a downward intake port side swelling section is formed at the middle ceiling surface of the common passage from the intake introducing port over the spray space from the inlet introducing port, and an inlet port side recessed groove is formed in the injection valve storing section formed above the common passage corresponding to the intake port side swelling section.
