PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always match photographic conditions on the side of an image photography device with the photographic conditions on the side of a device controller. SOLUTION: In a device control method, the image photographic device, such as a digital camera is connected and controlled. Processing for receiving a photographic setting value change item list from the image photographic device is always performed, after setting a photography setting value on the image photographic device and when photographic setting is performed to the image photographic device. Acquisition and processing of a change result are started after acquiring the range of a changed parameter item, even if the parameter items except for a parameters which are set directly is changed subordinately on the side of the image photography device.
