PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient method for manufacturing polymerized toner having extremely sharp distribution of the particle size and little production amount of fine powder. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing polymerized toner includes steps of dispersing a polymerizable monomer composition containing at least a polymerizable monomer and a colorant into liquid drops in an aqueous medium containing fine particles of a water-insoluble inorganic compound as a dispersant prepared by the reaction of two kinds of water-soluble inorganic compounds in a water phase, and then polymerizing the drops to produce color polymer particles. The fine particles of a water-insoluble inorganic compound are produced by bringing an aqueous solution of one inorganic compound of the two kinds of water-soluble inorganic compounds into contact with a solid material of the other inorganic compound and allowing them to react with each other.
