PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a red light-emitting compound and a red light-emitting polymer which each can ensure high emission brightness, can realize the emission of light over a long time, and has excellent durability, and to provide a light-emitting element using the compounds. SOLUTION: This red light-emitting compound is represented by formula (1): -(CH2)n-Ar1-CH=CH2[R1is H, a 1 to 10C alkyl, or a 6 to 10C aryl; R2is H or a 1 to 10C alkyl or alkoxy; R3is H or a group of formula (1-1) (Ar1is phenylene or naphthylene)] and is used for the light-emitting layers of organic EL elements.
