PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic-hydraulic converting booster capable of substantially doubling an output by forming a pneumatic cylinder as a double piston without increasing the whole length of the booster. SOLUTION: A main pneumatic cylinder 1 slidably including a main piston 11 is directly and axially connected to a hydraulic cylinder 7 having a diameter smaller than that of the main pneumatic cylinder 1. A boosting rod 10 sliding integrally with the main piston 11 is inserted into the hydraulic cylinder 7, a sub-pneumatic cylinder 2 having the built-in hydraulic cylinder 7 is directly and axially connected to the main pneumatic cylinder 1, thereby forming a double cylinder structure with the hydraulic cylinder 7. In the sub-pneumatic cylinder 2, a sub-piston 12 is connected to the main piston 11 through connecting rods 13 and 14, and is arranged in the cylinder 2 so as to slide integrally with the main piston 11. The sub-pneumatic cylinder 2 receives air pressure simultaneously with the main pneumatic cylinder 1, propels the sub-piston 12 in the same direction as the main piston 11, and applies thrust obtained by adding the thrust of the main piston 11 and the thrust of the sub-piston 12 to the boosting rod 10.
