PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment-dispersed ink excellent in weather resistance of a print on a recording medium as ink jet recording, securing ink discharge stability and storage stability, free from irregularity of the print caused from reduction of accuracy of landing of liquid droplets.

SOLUTION: The invention relates to the pigment-dispersed ink for ink jet comprising a pigment and a resin dispersant wherein the resin dispersant is a vinyl compound based copolymer having ≥50 mgKOH/g of acid value and ≤3 mass.% of solubility in alkaline aqueous solution containing KOH corresponding to 1.5 times the acid value, and the viscosity characteristic of the ink measured by using a viscoelasticity measuring device satisfies following equation: 1.1≤[(viscosity of the ink measured at 20°C, 0.5-1sec)/(viscosity of the ink measured at 20°C, 100-1sec)]≤2.0.
