PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of the breakage of a parasitic diode occurring immediately after the stop of a switching regulator. SOLUTION: In the switching regulator, a first switching element 11 and an inductor L1 are connected in series between Vdd and an output terminal Vout, and a second switching element 12 for synchronous rectification is connected between the crossing point of the first switching element 11 and the inductor L1, and GND. The switching regulator is provided with a control means for controlling the operation of the switching regulator 1; oscillating means (15, 16, 17, and 18) for outputting clock signals for executing the switching of the switching regulator; and a sleep signal synchronizing circuit 3 for synchronizing a sleep signal outputted asynchronously with the switching period of the switching regulator, and for stopping the operation of the switching regulator with the switching period.
