PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toilet apparatus for opening the toilet cover of a toilet seat device with optimal timing without giving unnatural feeling to a human body according to the dimension of a toilet room and for switching the set temeperature of a toilet seat. SOLUTION: A sensor unit 7 for detecting the presence/absence of the human body automatically is arranged in the toilet room separately from a main body. Thus, the sensor unit 7 is arranged near the entrance of the toilet room of various dimensions, and a wireless communication means transmits a detection signal to a main body to open the toilet cover 3 when the human body enters the toilet room and to switch the set temperature of the toilet seat 4.
