PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mower with which the stepless setting of reaping height adjustment of the mower is actualized and operability of a lifting and lowering lever is improved. SOLUTION: A gas spring composed of gas and oil equipped with a free locking mechanism is mounted between a link mechanism for lifting and lowering a reaping part and a machine body in the mower, and the link mechanism for lifting and lowering the reaping part is constituted so as to balance a torque by a driving force in the stretch direction of the gas spring against a torque by the weight of the reaping part. A wire operation for fixing the extension and contraction position of the gas spring is carried out on a lever for operating the rise and fall of the reaping part and regulation and position fixation of the height position of the reaping part are steplessly performed.
