BIDIRECTIONAL ELECTROMOTIVE TYPE LIGHT/CURRENT CONVERTING APPARATUS AND WAVELENGTH INFORMATION DISCRIMINATING APPARATUS USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bidirectional electromotive type light/current converting apparatus of which the electromotive direction changes depending on wavelengths and to provide a wavelength information discriminating apparatus using the same of which the electromotive direction changes depending on wavelengths.

SOLUTION: The bidirectional electromotive type light/current converting apparatus of which the electromotive direction changes depending on wavelengths is acquired by providing two electrodes 4 and 7 in which at least either one has a visible light/ultraviolet light transmitting property; a light/current converting substance 10 arranged between the two electrodes 4 and 7 and having both a function for receiving the irradiation of light to be an excited electron donor or a positive hole donor and converting electrons or positive holes generated in reaction with the irradiation of light into a current and a wavelength for reversing the direction of the current; and a redox substance 11 which performs redox action by the impartment and reception of the electrons or the positive holes.
