PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a category-classified new feature word ranking method, apparatus and program by which a newly arrived feature word for every category is easily extracted from many documents collected by a plurality of categories to support the present trend, and to provide a computer readable storage medium in which the category-classified new feature word ranking program is recorded. SOLUTION: The category-classified new feature word ranking method includes the following steps: upon inputting the preparation time information-borne document classified by the plurality of categories from a database, analyzing the document; totalizing words and phrases allowed to emerge on the document and words and phrases-accompanied information on the words and phrases; using the words and phrases-accompanied information on the words and phrases; and calculating the relevancy to the category allowed to emerge the words and phrases for each of the words and phrases.
