PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining an arrival time of at least one ion by an ion detector. SOLUTION: In the ion detector for this mass spectrometer, the arriving ion generates a signal, and a time when the signal crosses an intensity threshold value in a rising section and a time when the signal crosses the intensity threshold value in a falling section are determined.
