摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for detecting a leakage position allowing efficient and high-precision identification of a leakage position even when noise other than leakage sound is mixed into vibration sensors, in a method for identifying the position of leakage of a piping network transporting fluid such as water piping and gas piping by using a signal of leakage sound detected by two vibration sensors placed along such piping. SOLUTION: The magnitude of sound signals measured under fluid transportation pressure at two or more different levels are compared in the frequency domain. Considering that more leakage sound is included in a frequency bandwidth in which a change in the magnitude of the signal is relatively large, the method extracts the frequency component in the frequency bandwidth, calculates a time difference between the arrival of the signal of the frequency component at the two vibration sensors, and locates a leakage position of the fluid from the time difference.
