<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily producing a sheet of konjak (paste made from the starch of devil's tongue) most suitable for cosmetics, skin care, medical use, etc., from konjak in high productivity and provide the konjak sheet produced by the method. <P>SOLUTION: The method for the production of a konjak sheet contains a step to mix konjak powder having particle diameter of ≤400μm with water and mixing/stirring the obtained paste, a step to add an alkali to the paste and further mix/stir the konjak mixture, a step to freeze the konjak mixture after the mixing/stirring treatment and a step to dry the frozen konjak mixture by vacuum drying.
