<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the removal of harness from a battery quickly. <P>SOLUTION: The electric vehicle 10 comprises a generator 54 being driven through an engine 34, a battery 55 being charged by that generator, motors 33L and 33R employing these generator and battery as a power supply, a traveling section such as a traveling wheel being driven through the motor, a rotation sensor 99 for measuring the r.p.m. of the engine, an abnormal voltage detecting means 113 for detecting the power supply voltage exceeding an upper limit threshold level determined by adding a specified value to a normal voltage and delivering an abnormal high voltage signal, and a control section 56 for stopping the motor when the reciprocal of the abnormal high voltage signal generation period substantially coincides with the r.p.m. of the engine. When a harness 95 is removed from the battery, power supply voltage sustains a large waveform exceeding the upper limit threshold level frequently, and that waveform is detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
